NZ Paragliding competition rules
2011/2012 NZ Open FAI Cat2 Competitions...There are two NZOPEN competitions to be held in the 2011/12 season. Points from both rounds will count towrds the NZ Championships Round 1 Nelson Jan 21-28 Round 2 Rotorua Feb 25-Mar 3. FOR ALL FURTHER INFORMATION REGARDING THE NZ PGOpens please go to the dedicated web site at www.pgopen.org.nz. THE NZ OPEN AND NZ CHAMPIONSHIPS WILL BE SERIAL CLASS COMPETITIONS FOR THE 2011/12 SEASON. Gliders must be certified EN D or lower and flown within the certified weight range. Competition rules require that every pilot shall fly with: emergency parachute;altimeter; helmet; protective backplate; UHF radio; GPS; and a current WOF.If you are flying in FAI recognised competitions (and want your points recorded by the FAI in the world rankings) you will need to have an FAI Sports Licence.
